there is an easier way than using crappy text tabs. use guitar pro
then when u have installed that, go to www.mysongook.com and search for the tab you want. you will never use text tabs again |

Try powertabs.net, very similar to Guitar Pro but the tabs on the site are excellent, often comparable to sheet music.
Also pietertjie, slap any tabs you get into notepad with courier as your font, that way it'll line up properly! -------------------- |

hey no offense guys but none of you actually helped the guy out
but anyways QUOTE Chords: G :320033 C :032033 Dsus4 :000233 Em :022033 this shows you how to play the chords to play a G, hold top string on 3rd fret, second string from top on 2nd fret, second string from bottom on 3rd fret and bottom string on 3rd fret... the 0's mean leave the string open... so Dsus4 is gonna be 3 open strings, 4th string on 2nd fret and 5th and 6th on 3rd fret QUOTE Tab 1 & Intro G C Dsus4 |----------------------------------|-----------------------------------| |----------3---------------3-------|---------3-----------------3-------| |------------0---------------0-----|------------0----------2-----2-----| |-----0--------0------0--------0---|-----2---------2----0----------0---| |----------------------------------|--3--------------------------------| |--3---------------3---------------|-----------------------------------| Tab 2 Em Dsus4 C G |----------------------------------|-----------------------------------| |-------3----------------3---------|----------3----------------3-------| |---------0---------2------2-------|------------0----------------0-----| |----2------2----0-----------0-----|-----2--------2-------0--------0---| |--2-------------------------------|--3--------------------------------| |----------------------------------|--------------------3--------------| tabs only look good on fixed-width fonts... so try using courier new or something to view tabs... ariel messes them up horrendously for the intro tab, each line represents a string... the bottom line is the topmost string on the guitar (bass-E) and the top line is the bottom string on the guitar (high-E) now, when you look at the tab, there are numbers on the lines. the numbers are the frets you play on those strings. so, to play this, you would play top string fret 3, 3rd string open, 5th string fret 3, 4th string open, 3rd string open twice, and then 2nd string fret 3, 3rd string fret 2... and so on when you're playing tabs like these, you play one string at a time in the frets shown in the tab... like picking strings. the distance between one note and the next is an approximation of the timing... and if you see more than 1 number in the same vertical line, then those strings are played all at once, either plucking multiple strings at a time, or strumming them, if the strings are consecutive hope this helps |

I never knew beuges played guitar
Well explained, I dont think Eric Clapton, or Jimmy Hen could have explained it better. On the note of tabs: Does anyone have a working tab for the clawhammer at the begginging of metallica: nothing else matters? I have made my own version up, but its off what it should be sounding like, and whatever I have found so far - has just made mine look good, which is not saying a lot. |
